| Bavarian Christmas Markets, which are traditionally held in the months of November and December, are very popular festivals. People travel from all over the world to partake of handmade crafts, cultural food and drinks as well as the frivolity of the event. The Christmas Market Booths subseries is designed by Department 56 Artist Tom Bates. Traditionally introduced with the mid-year introductions, each design features an LED lit booth and vendor. There have been several general accessories that have been designed since the initial launch that complement the subseries very well and often used by collectors. | The male dancer is dressed in traditional lederhosen (German for leather britches), the attire worn by the working-class in Bavaria and Germany. Knee pants were made of leather because leather would withstand hard physical labor better than cloth. | ||||||||||||
